Solution :-

Let the first number and the second number be x

and y respectively.

As per question :-

Given that,

The sum of two numbers is 65.

Therefore,

x +y =65.......eq(1)

Again,

Their difference is 13.

Therefore,

x - y =13.......... eq(2)

Find the value of x from eq(1)

x +y =65

⟼ x = 65 - y

Put the value of x in eq(2)
