Let the 2 numbers be a and b
Given :
a + b = 15(2) +10
a - b = 3(4) +2

So
a + b = 40____(1)
a - b = 14____(2)
By (1) and (2)
a + b -26 = a -b
- 2b = -26
b = 13
So by (1) or (2)
a = 27

The numbers are 27 and 13

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the numbers be x and y

Sum of numbers = x+y

We are given that the sum of two numbers is divided by 15 ,the quotient is 2 and the remainder is 10

Dividend = x+y

Divisor = 15

Quotient = 2

Remainder = 10

Dividend = (Divisor \times Quotient)+Remainder

x+y = (15 \times 2)+10

x+y = 40 -- A

Difference of two numbers = x-y

We are given that the difference of the same no is divided by 3 , then the quotient is 4 and the remainder is 2

Dividend = x-y

Divisor = 3

Quotient = 4

Remainder = 2

Dividend = (Divisor \times Quotient)+Remainder

x-y = (3 \times 4)+2

x-y =14 --B

Add A and B

x+y+x-y = 40+14

2x = 54

x = 27

Substitute the value of x in A

27+y = 40

y=40-27

y=13

Hence the numbers are 27 and 13
