p(x)=(k^2-14)x^2-2x-4
sum of roots =1=-b/a
so ; here, b=-2 and a=k^2-14
so according to the question:-
-(-2)/(k^2-14)=1
2/(k^2-14)=1
2=k^2-14
16=k^2
therefore k=4 (√16=4)
thank u,hope it helps!^_^

sujaljuneja229: Is it right?
HimanshiKankane: yeah according to me it's right
HimanshiKankane: did u find any mistake , please tell me if any so I'll again see whether the solution is correct or not
