if the sum of zeros of quadratic polynomial f(x) is equal to x² - 4x + k is 3. find the value of k.​

Zeros of a quadratic equation are its roots.

Comparing f(x)= x² −4x +k with the standard

equation f(x)=x² -4x +k

we get,

p=−4, q=k

if α & β are the roots of the given quadratic equation,

α+β=−p

α×β=q

but, α+β=3 {given}

∴k=3
