if the sun is out all day why is it not warm during an arctic summer?

Because in their region the temperature of the climate is very low....

bharat9291: due to the slanting rays of sun which do not warm the climate too much so it is cold there

bharat9291: the rays of sun is slanting it means they are not direct as they are on equitor so it can't make the atmosphere warm

Because the temp. depends on the angle of the sun rays.And in an Arctic summer the sun is always close to the horizon so it can't heat up much. BTW Antarctica is a much better summer holiday destination. Arctic sucks there are no PENGUINS there.
