Let    tan 45 = H / d1

         tan 65 = H / d2

d1 tan 45 = d2 tan 65 = (d1 - 3) tan 65     since d2 = d1 - 3

d1 = (d1 - 3) * 2.14

d1 = 2.14 d1 - 6.43

1.14 d1 = 6.43     and d1 = 5.64  

so H = 5.64     since 1 = H / d1    from the first equation
