Let the angle be x

its complement is 90-x

its supplement is 180-x

so we know that the supplement is 4 times its complement

therefore 180-x= 4(90-x)

180-x=360-4x

-x+4x=360-180

3x=180

x=180/3

x=60

Hope it will help

Given,

An angle 'x' whose supplement is 4 times its complement is given.

To find,

We have to find the angle.

Solution,

The angle whose supplement is 4 times its complement is 60°.

Let the angle be 'x'

Supplement of the angle be 180-x

Complement of the angle be 90-x

According to the given condition, we have

(180-x) = 4(90-x)

180-x   = 360 - 4x

-x+4x   = 360-180

     3x =  180

       x = 60

Hence, the required angle is 60°.
