Given :  supplement of an angle is increased by 45°, It  equals four times its complement.

To Find :   the angle.

Solution:

 complementary angles add to 90°

 supplementary angles add up to 180°

Let say Angle = A

Supplement  = 180° - A

Complement =  90° - A

supplement of an angle is increased by 45°

=  180° - A + 45°

= 225° - A

It  equals four times its complement.

=> 225° - A = 4(  90° - A)

=>  225° - A =360° - 4A

=> 3A =  135°

=>  A = 45°

the angle =  45°
