X + 2X/3 = 180
5x /3 = 180
5x = 540
X = 540/5 = 108°
another is X × 2/3 = 108× 2/3 = 36× 2 = 72°

Answer :-

The angles are 108° and 72°.

Step-by-step explanation:

To Find :-

  • The angles.

Solution

Given that,

  • The supplement of an angle is two third of itself.

Assumption

Let us assume one angle as (x) and the other angle as (2/3)x,

We know,

The sum of two angles which measures 180°

∴ (x) + (2/3)x = 180°

x + 2/3x = 180

[(3 + 2)/3]x = 180

(5/3)x = 180

5x = 180 × 3

5x = 540

x = 540/5

x = 108

The value of x is 108.

Now, The measure of the angles are :-

  • (x) = 108°
  • (2/3)x = 2/3 × 108 = 32 × 2 = 72°

Hence

The measure of the angles are 108° and 72°.
