Data:

Surface area of sphere = S = 616 cm²

Radius of sphere = r = ?

Solution:

We know that,

Surface area of the sphere = S = 4 π r²

Substituting the values, we get:

616 = 4 (22/7) r²

616 = (12.57) r²

r² = 616 / 12.57

r² = 49

r = √49

r = 7 cm

which shows that the radius of the sphere is 7 cm.

Hope it helps.

Thanks.

GIVEN

SURFACE AREA OF SPHERE =616 SURFACE AREA OF SPHERE =4(PIE)(r)^2 4(22/7)(r)^2 = 616

(r)^2 = 616(7)/88

(r) ^2 =49

r=(49)^1/2

r=7 ut
