Answer:

Given:-

Surface Area of cube = 216 cm^2

To find :-

  • Side (a) of cube

  • Lateral Surface Area of cube (LSA)

Solution:-

Let the side be 'a'cm

Then,

Total surface area of cube = 6a^2=216

=>

 =  > 6 {a}^{2}  = 216 \\  =  >  {a}^{2}  =  \frac{216}{6}  \\  =  >  {a}^{2}  = 36 \\  =  > a =  \sqrt{36}  = 6cm

Now ,

Side of cube (a) = 6cm

Then,

Lateral surface area of cube (LSA) = 4a^2

 =  > 4 {a}^{2}  \\  =  > 4( {6}^{2}) \\  =  > 4 \times 36 = 144 {cm}^{2}

Some More Formulas about Cube:-

  • Total surface area (TSA) = 6a^ 2

  • Lateral surface area (LSA) = 4a^2

  • Volume of Cube = a^3

  • Length of Diagonal = 3a

Answer:

\huge\rm\underline\purple{Given :-}

  • Surface area of cube is 216cm

\huge\rm\underline\purple{To Find :-}

  • Side of cube
  • Lateral Surface Area of cube

\huge\rm\underline\purple{Solution :-}

Surface area of cube = 6a²

216 = 6a²

216/6 = a²

36 = a²

sq root 36 = a

6 = a

  • a = 6

Lateral Surface Area of cube = 4a²

LSA = 4 × (6)²

LSA = 4 × 36

LSA = 144 cm²
