Cutting of tail is acquired trait and acquired trait in next generation is not seen because of which the 22nd generation mouse would have tail as it isn't a genetic trait and is an acquired trait. Take example of the 3rd case where the beetles were infected by the grass they were living in where the grass was infected by plant infection and the beetle were suffering and were loosing it's population and when the grass had got recover, all beetles started to gain health back and its progeny s were healthy as it was acquired trait.
