‘If the temperature of an enclosed gas at 00C is lowered to -2730C, its volume becomes zero’. Is this statement correct. If not give reason why do you think so. Also tell what actually happens on lowering the temperature of gas to -2730C.

At -273°C/0K/-459F, straight line is obtained on graph plotted between volume & temperature.

At this temperature, the volume becomes zero.

Greater is the mass of gas taken, greater is the slpoe of straight line.

It is apparent that this temperature-273°C will be attained when the volume becomes zero. But,for a real gas the zero volume is impossible which shows that this temperature cannot he attained for a real gas.

This would be helpful for you.
