When the temperature of water will decrease from 25 degree to 4 degree, its volume will decrease. As a result, the density will also increase. But, when the temperature of water will decrease from 4 degree to 0 degree, its volume will increase. As a result, its density will decrease from 4 degree to 0 degree. This peculiar behaviour of water is called anomalous expansion of water.
