Given: If the three-letter tiles, A, B, and C, are placed in a bag

To find: what is the probability of drawing them out in alphabetical order

Solution:

To place the letters in alphabetical order, the first letter will be "A" so the probability of choosing the letter will be 1/3

Then the letter b comes and the probability of choosing that will be 1/3

and for c the same that is 1/3.

Hence, the total probability of the sequence will be 1/3 into 1/3 into 1/3= 1/27

The probability of drawing them out in alphabetical order= 1/27
