Given that,

If the time taken to bring a ball to rest from a certain velocity v is reduced to half.

Momentum :

Momentum is equal to the product of mass and velocity.

In mathematically,

P=mv

Where, m = mass

v = velocity

(a). We need to calculate the changes in the values of initial and final momentum

Using given data,

The momentum does not depend upon the time.

The momentum depends upon the mass and velocity.

So, the initial and final momentum is always same.

(b). We need to calculate the change of momentum

Using given data,

When The initial and final momentum is same so the change of momentum will be same .

Hence, (a). The initial and final momentum is always same.

(b). The change of momentum will be same .
