Let's think of the two digit number whose sum of the digits is 9.

They can be 18, 81, 27, 72, 36, 63, 45 and 54.

Out of the given numbers, you can see that the number 45 on reversing the digit, that is, 54 exceeds the given number by 9.

So, the given number is 45.
