Hi user :)!

Solving this question is easy if you're acquainted with the concept of Pythagoras Theorem and you are known how to find the perimeter of a triangle.

According to Pythagoras theorem, square of hypotenuse is equal to the sum of square of base and height i.e. remaining perpendicular sides. We have already been provided with the values of 2 sides and after working according to the theorem, we will also get the value of the third side i.e. the hypotenuse. Then we can easily find out the perimeter of the triangle by adding all the sides.

Now, we can perform the calculations.

According to pythagoras theorem,

→ h² = b² + p²

→ h² = (5)² + (12)²

→ h² = 25 + 144

→ h² = 169 cm²

→ h = √169

→ h = 13 cm

Therefore, the third side of the triangle measures 13 cm.

Now, we will find the perimeter of triangle.

Perimeter of triangle = Sum of all sides

→ Perimeter = h + b + p

→ Perimeter = 13 + 5 + 12

→ Perimeter = 30 cm

∴ the perimeter of the right angled triangle with two perpendicular sides 5 cm and 12 cm is 30 cm.
