Correct answer is : 4

Given:

  • Given points are A(-3,7) and B(-7,5)
  • A = (-3,7) ;  B =  (-7,5) ;

To Find:

  • To find the (abscissa A) - (abscissa B) .

Solution:

Abscissa :

(in any system of coordinates) distance from the point to vertical or y --axis, measured parallel to x -axis is called as the x -coordinate.

Ordinate :

Straight line from point parallel to any coordinate axis & meeting other, especially  coordinate measured parallel to y--axis.

Abscissa means it is the x co-ordinate.

Thus, abscissa of A is -3.

& abscissa of B is -7.

Therefore abscissa of A  -  abscissa of B is

   =)  -3-(-7)

   =) -3+7

   =) 4.

Hence the answer is 4.
