Answer:-

The value of of x and y are -7 and -2 respectively.

Explanation:-

putting the value of y = X + 5 in 16 X = 9 y - 94

16x = 9(x+5)-94

16x = 9x+45-94

16x = 9x-49

16x-9x = -49

7x = -49

x = -49/7

x = -7

putting the value of x = - 7 in y = x + 5

y = - 7 + 5

y = -2
