Answer:

The standard deviation of y is 12.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: If two variables x and y are related by 2x+3y-7=0 and the mean and mean deviation about mean of x are 1 and 0.3 respectively then the coefficient of mean deviation of y about its mean is

2x+3y-7=0

=> 3y = 7 - 2x

=> y = 7/3 - 2x/3

Step 2:Mean of x = 1

Mean of y =  7/3 - 2/3 = 5/3

Mean deviation of x = 0.3

Mean deviation of y = (2/3)*0.3 = 0.2

Step 3:Coefficient of mean deviation =  (Mean Deviation/ Mean) * 100

= (0.2/(5/3) ) * 100

= 60/5

= 12
