Answer:

2)1/3600nm-2

Explanation:

as the unit of pressure is kg per metre per second to the power -2, as time must be in seconds

1 min=60 seconds

and in total it wi be 1/3600 sec

when multiplied by 1 kg and 1 metre as per the unit

the answer is 1/3600 nm-2

The correct answer is option (2) 1/3600Nm²

GIVEN

Unit of mass = 1 kg

Unit of Length = 1 meter.

Unit of Time = 1 minute.

TO FIND

Unit of pressure.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows-

We know that,

Dimensional formula of pressure is ML⁻¹T⁻² Dimensional formula of pressure is Kgm⁻¹s⁻²

M₁ = 1 kg

L₁ = 1 meter

T₁ = 1 sec

In the new system -

M₂ = 1 kg

L₂ = 1 meter

T₂ = 1 minute = 60 sec

So,

n₂ = n₁ [\frac{m₁}{m₂}][ \frac{l₁}{l₂}]^{ - 1}  [\frac{t₁}{t₂}]^{ - 2}

Putting the values in the above formula we get,

n₂ = n₁ [\frac{1}{1}][ \frac{1}{1}]^{ - 1}  [\frac{1}{60}]^{ - 2}

n₂ = n1 (60)2

n₂ = 3600

When multiplied by 1 kg and 1 meter.

The unit of pressure is - 1/3600Nm²
