Given : the value of n(n²-1) is six time value of ∑d²

To Find : the value of r

Solution:

rank correlation coefficient   r  = 1   - 6  ∑ (di)² / (n(n² - 1))

n = numbers

∑ (di)²  = sum of squares of the differences in ranks

r = rank correlation coefficient

Now its given that  n(n²-1) is six time value of ∑d²

=> n(n²-1)  = 6 ∑d²

Substituting value in formula

r  = 1   - 6  ∑ (di)² / (n(n² - 1))

=> r  = 1 - 6 ∑ (di)²  / 6 ∑d²

=> r = 1  - 1

=> r = 0

value of r is 0
