Given :

Velocity of the train from rest, V = 72 km/hr.

Times (t) = 10 min = 10/60 h = 1/6 h.

To find :

Acceleration = ?

Distance travelled bt the train = ?

Solution :

Acceleration, a = ?

a = v-u/t

a = 72-0/10

a = 72×10

a = 720 km/h².

Distance travelled = S = ?

S = ut+1/2at²

S = 0×1/10+12(720)(1/10)²

S = (1/2)×720×(1/100)

S = 360/100

S = 3.6 km.

•°• The acceleration is 720 km/hr .

•°• The distance travelled by the train within this travel time is 3.6 km.
