Hey!
_____________
Original Kinetic energy = 1/2 mv^2
Velocity halved
v = 1/2
New kinetic energy = 1/2 × m × 1/2 v^2
= 1/4 mv^2
New kinetic energy will be 1/4th of the first one.
______________
Hope it helps...!!!

Heya.....!!!
_______________
Original Kinetic Energy ( say K1 ) = 1/2×m×v²
If velocity is halved i.e = v/2
Then , new Kinetic Energy ( say K2 )
=> 1/2×m× (v/2)²
K2 = 1/2 ×m ×v²/4 → 1/4 × 1/2 ×m×v²
So ,, New Kinetic Energy ( K2 ) will ' 1/4 ' of original Kinetic energy ( K1 ) .
