5 meter per second square is acceleration. Acceleration is final velocity - initial velocity divided by time taken

To solve this we will use the following SUVAT equation:

v = u + at

Where ‘v’ is the final velocity, ‘u’ is the initial velocity, ‘a’ is the acceleration, and ‘t’ is the time taken.

So we insert the values given in the question to give us:

25 = 10 + (a × 3)

25 - 10 = 3a

15 = 3a

5 = a
