Question :-

If the vertices of triangle ABC are A(5,-1) B (-3,-2) C(-1,8) Find the length of median through A.

Given that :-

A ΔABC, and the vertices of the triangle A(5,-1) B (-3,-2) C(-1,8).

Let AD be the median through A, such that BD = DC (as D is the mid point of BC)

(for more explaination refer the attachment)

\huge{\boxed{\mathfrak{\underline{\purple{</strong><strong>S</strong><strong>o</strong><strong>l</strong><strong>u</strong><strong>t</strong><strong>i</strong><strong>o</strong><strong>n</strong><strong>!}}}}}

Coordinates  \: of  \: D \: will \: be  = ( \frac{ - 3 - 1}{2} ),( \frac{ - 2 + 8}{2} )

Coordinates  \: of  \: D \: will \: be  = ( \frac{ - 4}{2} ),( \frac{ 6}{2} )

Coordinates  \: of  \: D \: will \: be  = (  - 2,3)

Now, Length of the median AD

= [{5-(-2)}^2 + {-1-3}^2]

= {7^2 +(-4)^2}

= (49+16)

= 65 ans.
