If the volume of gas inside the container is reduced then then the pressure inside the container will also reduce. This is because the more particles collide with wall of container the greater the pressure will be. So, if the volume of gas is decreased then the gas particle will also decrease. Hence, less collison will take place which will result into less pressure inside the container.
