Volume of a cube= (side)³
729=(side)³
side of the cube = 9cm.
Total Surface area of a cube = 6(a)²
=6(9)²= 6*81= 486cm².

You should have provided if we had to take out total surface area or lateral surface area. Anyways, hope it helps you!

Given:

  • the volume of the cube is 729cm³

To Find:

  • the surface area of the cube.

Understanding the question:

✬ we know that surface area of a cube is 6(side)²✬

➷ so now we have to find the measure of the side of the square with the given volume:

Solution:

 : \implies \sf \: volume  =   {side}^{3}  \\  \\  \\ : \implies \sf \: 729 =  {side}^{3}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \\: \implies \sf \:  \sqrt[3]{729}   = side \:  \:  \\  \\  \\ : \implies \sf \: 9cm = side \:  \:  \:

now let's find its surface area:

: \implies \sf \:  \: surface \: area = 6(side) ^{2}  \\  \\  \\ : \implies \sf \:  \: surface \: area = 6(9) ^{2} \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \\ : \implies \sf \: surface \: area = 6 \times 81 \:  \:  \\  \\  \\ : \implies \sf \:  \: surface \: area =  {486}^{2}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:
