Solution:

Let say edges of cubes are a & b  units

Volume of cube = ( side )³ = (Edge)³

Volume of cube with edge  a =  a³   cubic unit

Volume of cube with edge  b =  b³   cubic unit

volumes of two cubes are in the ratio 27 : 8,

=> a³  :  b³   = 27 : 8

=> a³ / b³   = 27  / 8

=> a³ / b³   = 3³ / 2³

=> (a/b)³ = (3/2)³

=> (a/b) = (3/2)

=> a/b = 3/2

=> a : b = 3 : 2

ratio of their edges.​  = 3:2
