Hi friend ,

The buoyant force of water on the object = weight of water displaced by it

Weight of water displaced by the object = 10N

Buoyant force acting on the object = 10N

Weight of object in water = weight of object -buoyant force

Weight of object in water = 50N -10N
Weight of object in water = 40N

Hope this helped u..

Hi there !!

Weight of object in air = 50 N

Weight of water displaced by the object = 10 N

According to Archimedes Principle :

Buoyant force = Weight of water displaced by the object = 10 N

SO ,

weight of object in water = Weight of object in air - Buoyant Force

= 50 - 10 = 40 N
