Given weight of 12 sheets= 40 grams = 40/1000 kg = 4/100 kg
Let the weight of x.no.of sheets = 5/2 kg
The ratio of no.of sheets to the weight = 12 : 4/100 and  x : 5/2 kg
⇒12 : 4/100 = x : 5/2
⇒4x/100 = 12×5/2 
⇒4x/100 = 6×2
⇒4x = 30×100
⇒x = 3000/4
∴ x = 750
∴The no.of sheets = 750.
