First you’ll want to find the object’s mass (which is independent of it’s weight). Assuming the acceleration due to gravity on Earth is at the value 9.81m/s², you can find the mass of the object using Newton’s Second Law:

F=ma

6=m(9.81)

m=6/9.81

m=0.6116207951 kg

Assuming the acceleration due to gravity on the moon is at the value 1.62 m/s² and the mass of the object stays the same, you can use Newton’s Second Law again to solve for weight:

F=ma

F=(0.6116207951)(1.62)

F=0.99082568807N

or you can just round to:

F=1N

That means the object weighs 1/6 of what it would on Earth.
