Given : work done by a motor to lift a 200 kg block

to a height h is 30 kJ

To Find : calculate the value of  height (h) in metres (Take, g= 10 m/s2).

Solution:

Work done by motor = mgΔh

m = 200 kg

g = 10 m/s²

Δh = h  m

Work done = 30 kj  = 30 x 10³ joule

=> 30 x 10³   = 200 * 10  * h

=> 30 x 10³   = 2 x 10³  * h

=> 30 = 2 h

=> 15 = h

value of  height (h) in metres = 15 m
