if the zeroes of quadratic polynomial x²+(a+1)+b are 2 and -3 then value of a and b

Answer:

Zeroes = 2 and -3 .

so , 2 and 3 will makes the given quadratic equation zero.

p(x)=0

putting the zero 2 to the given quadratic equation

=>2^2+(a+1)x+b=0

=>4+ax+x+b=0

=>b=-4-ax-x........(i)

p(-3) =0

=>-3^2+(a+1)x+b

=>9+ax+x+b=0

now putting the value of b from equation (i)

=>9+ax+x+-4-ax-x=0

=>5
