Given,

p(x)= x^{2} + (a+1)x +b

2 and -3 are the zeros of p(x)

To find,

The value of a and b

Solution,

Let,

α= 2 and β = -3

We know that,

Sum of zeros => α + β =\frac{-b}{a}

=> 2 × -3 =\frac{(a+ 1)}{1}

=> -6 = a+1

=>  a = -6-1

=>  a = -7

Product of zeros => αβ = \frac{c}{a}

=> 2 × -3 = \frac{b}{1}

=> -6 = b

=> b = -6

Hope it helps :)
