ANSWER

Given polynomial :

→ f ( x ) = x² + ( p + 1 ) x + q

Roots of the polynomial :

→ -3 & 2

To Find :

→ p = ?

→ q = ?

Required Information :

This is an quadratic polynomial

And For any quadratic polynomial

- ( sum of roots ) x + product of roots = 0

SOLUTION

Hence we can say,

( p + 1 ) = - ( - 3 + 2 )

=>p + 1 = 1

=>p = 0

again,

we can say,

q = ( - 3 ) × ( 2 )

=> q = - 6
