Given f(x) = x^3 - 3x^2 + x + 1.
Here a = 1, b = -3, c = 1, d = 1.
Given Zeroes are a - b, a + b,a
(i) We know that Sum of zeroes = -b/a
= > a - b + a + b + a = -(-3/1)
= > 3a = 3/1
= > a = 1.
(2) We know that product of zeroes = c/a
= > (a - b)(a + b)(a) = 1
= > (a^2 - b^2)(a) = 1
= > (1 - b^2) = 1
= > 1 - b^2 = 1
= > 2 = b^2
Hope it helps!
