the eq is
x^3-3x^2+x+1
since (a-b) , a , (a+b) are the roots
now
this is a cubic eq
so
(a+b)+(a)+(a-b)= -1....... (1)
and
(a+b)*(a)*(a-b)=-3........ (2)

now from the above eq (1)
we have...
3a= -3

=> a= -1

now putting a in eq (2)
(-1+b)(-1)(-1-b)= -3
(-1)(1-b^2)= -3
1-b^2=3
-b^2=2

b=(-2)^1/2..
or u can write i (2)^1/2

That's all with my opinion...
hope it will help you..
