the no.of chromosomes will be 6 as in meosis the parent cell divides and give half no. of chromosomes to each daughter cells.

If there are 12 chromosomes and 12 pg DNA in G1 phase of a diploid cell then what will be the number of chromosomes and DNA after meiosis 1 is the same as in 12 chromosomes and 12 pg of DNA.  

This is because the reduction division of cells does not take place after meiosis 1 it takes places only in the meiosis 2 , Meiosis 1 is nothing but similar to mitosis.
