If there are 12 fish and half of them drown, how many are there?

The answer is 12 only as fishes don't drown.

If there are 12 fish and half of them drown, then there will be 12 fishes only.

Out of these 12 fishes, 6 are drown and 6 are alive. But still all 12 fishes are there in water only. So if the question as that how many are there, it will be 12 only.  

No doubt out of these 12 fishes, 6 are drown and 6 are live fishes but total will remain 12.
