If there are 20 boys and 18 girls in a class. Find the percentage of:
a) boys
b) girls

Total number is students = 20+18= 38

a) Boys -

 \frac{20}{38}  \times 100 =  \frac{2000}{38}  = 52.631\%(approx)

b) Girls-

 \frac{18}{38}  \times 100 =  \frac{1800}{38}  = 47.368\%(approx)

NUMBER OF BOYS = 20

NUMBER OF GIRLS = 18

So, Total students = 38

TO FIND:

The percentage of:

a) boys

b) girls

( a). The percentage of boys = (20/38) ×100

= 52.63 %

(b). The percentage of girls = (18/38)×100

= 47.37%
