If there are 200 balls in a bag out of which 99% are red balls , how many red balls will you remove so that out of the remaining balls in the bag , only 98% are red balls ?

I also have solution which gives more accurate red ball % than previously mentioned answer.

Case - 1 :
Given :
Red balls = 198(99%)
Other colour balls = 2(1%)

Solution :
Since we don't have any limit for red ball removal,I remove 100 red balls now.

After this step,
Red balls = 98
Other colour balls = 2
Total balls = 100

Red balls% = (Red ball / Total balls) × 100
= (98/100)×100
= 98%(exactly)

Case 2 :
In the second case as solved by another person,if we remove 2 red balls alone in overall, then red ball % will be approximately correct only.

After removing 2 red balls,

Red balls = 196
Other colour balls = 2
Total balls = 198
Red balls% = (196/198) × 100
=98.9898%(approx.)

In my ideology, first case gives you the exact percentage required and it's the accurate logic.Which method is opt one to prefer ?
