Solution :

Bananas constitute ⅛ th of the total number of fruits .

This can be converted into percentage as :

=> ⅛ × 100°

=> 12½ %

Let us find the total number of oranges ( In percentage ) :

=> 100% - 40% - 12.5%

=> 47.5%

Now it is given that the total number of apples and bananas is 210

If the total number of fruits is x ;

So,

=> 12.5% + 40% of x = 210

=> 52.5 % of x = 210

=>( 525/1000 ) x = 210

=> x = 210 × 1000 / 525

=> x = 400 .

Number of oranges

=> 47.5 % of 400

=> 475/1000 × 400

=> 190.

Hence , option A is correct .
