hi

girls = 240

total = 240+360=600

ratio = 6/15

haribol1234p9zix3: 240/600=6/15=2/5
haribol1234p9zix3: when reduced to the lowest
umar1577: I think the answer would be 2/5
haribol1234p9zix3: 2/5=6/15

Anonymous: 240/600 = 24/60 (0 cancel ) = 4/10 ( 6* 4 = 24, 6*10 = 60) = 2/5 (2*2 = 4, 2*5 = 10)
haribol1234p9zix3: 2/5 = 6/15

Given,

Number of girls = 240

Number of boys = 360

Total number of pupils =

Number of girls + Number of boys

= 240+360

= 600

ratio of number of girls to the number of total pupils = 240/600

= 24/60

= 4/10

= 2/5
