The question is little tricky.

If the time period for death of mouse would be the same as that of men then only 1 mouse would be sufficient to find the poisoned can by the time of its death.

But since it is mentioned that the mouse will die in 24 hours and also we have only 24 hours in hand.

So, we need atleast 29 mouses to test 29 cans, if none of the mouse dies then the poison is present in the 30th can.

If mouse would die exactly after 14 hrs then definitely 1 will be the answer but here the given condition says that mouse will die within 14 hrs.

This question will be solved by set theory.

Total beer bottles = 6

Drinking strategy

Bottle 1 : Mouse 1

Bottle 2 : Mouse 2

Bottle 3 : Mouse 3

bottle 4 : mouse 1 and mouse 2

bottle 5 : mouse 2 and mouse 3

bottle 6 : mouse 3 and mouse 1

On the basis of death of mice set we can decide the poisoned bottle

In this question up to 2 bottle answer will be 1 because 2^1 = 2

Similarly up to 4 bottles answer will be 2 because 2^2 = 4

For up to 8,16,32,64,128 bottles answer will be 3,4,5,6,7
