10000+12000+20000+(x)= 42000+(x)
 ---------------------------------    -------------- = 15000
                                                   4
42000+(x)= 60000
x=60000-42000
x= 18000

soo the income is 18000 of fourth person

The formula for per capita income is given as :

Per Capita income = The total income of the families/ total number of the families.

It is like the average income.

The average income for the families is hence 15000.

The families are 4 so the total income is :

15000 × 4 = 60000

We only have income for 3 families .

The total income of the three families is given by :

10000 + 20000 + 12000 = 42000

The income of the fourth family is given by :

Fourth family = Total income of the four families - the total income of the three families.

= 60000 - 42000 = 18000

The income of the fourth family is $ 18000.
