Given:

number of students studying in school - 9,00,000

 part\:of\:students \:absent = \frac{4}{8}

To find:

Number of students absent and present.

Solution:

Students absent =

 \cancel{900000} \times \frac{4}{\cancel{8}} \\ \\ \\ =  4 \times 112500 \\ \\ \\ = 450000 \\ \\ \\ \bold{\therefore \: students \: absent = 4,50,000} \\ \\ \\ Number \:of \: students\:present = Total\:students - Number\: of \: students \:absent \\ \\ \\ = 900000 - 450000 = 450000 \\ \\ \\ \bold{\therefore \: students \: present = 4,50,000}
