People only find the motivation to learn much later in life when they come across something they are interested in. By then, it would be too late.

Schools set the foundation for us to easily pick up anything we desire in the future and is essential for the progress of a society. Imagine being interested in chemistry but you need to learn how to read and write first before you can start.
