Answer

total length of ribbon =75m

radius =0.35m×4=2.2m

circumference =2×22/7×2.2=13.8m

=75/13.8=5.4

=5 circle

Number of doors can be decorated is 34

Complete Question is

Ram has four full rolls of ribbon and one roll of ribbon is 18(3/4)m long . These four full ribbon rolls are used for decorating the circular wall pieces each of radius 35 cm, then how many such circular wall pieces can be decorated ?

Given:

Length of one roll of ribbon = 18(3/4)m = 75/4 meters

The Number of rolls that Ram has = 4

Radius of circular wall = 35 cm

To find:

How many such circular wall pieces can be decorated ?

Solution:

From given data Length of 4 ribbon rolls = 4 × (75/4) = 75 meters

When we convert 75 m in cm, 75m = 7500 cm  [∵ 1 m = 100 cm ]

Given that radius of circular wall R = 35 cm

As we know Perimeter of circle = 2πR

⇒ Perimeter of one wall = 2(\frac{22}{7} ) 35 = 2(22)(5) = 220 cms

Let's assume that Ram decorated x number of doors

Then total length of ribbon can be used =  220 × x = 220x cm

As we know length of the ribbon = 7500 cm

⇒ 220x cm = 7500 cm

⇒ 22x = 750

⇒ x = 750/22 = 34.09

Here we can't say 34.09 doors

Therefore,

Number of doors can be decorated = 34
